OutPane lets you see and control your own Mac from your iPhone or iPad. It is built so that nobody else, including us, can see what is on your screen.

Your account

You sign in to OutPane so your devices can find and trust each other. We keep only what that needs: your email address (or, with Sign in with Apple, the private ID and any email Apple shares), the name you choose, and the devices on your account, with their names, a public key and when each was last online. Sign-in codes are sent by email through Resend and expire after 10 minutes.

You can rename or remove devices, sign out and delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. Deleting your account erases it and its device list straight away.

Your screen, keyboard, sound and clipboard

Your Mac’s picture, sound and clipboard, and the touches and keys you send, travel directly between your devices. Over a cable or your own Wi‑Fi they never leave your home network. When you connect over the internet, they pass through our relay server end-to-end encrypted with keys that exist only on your own devices. The relay cannot read them, and nothing is stored.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report (the app version, device model, system version and where the code failed) to our own error-tracking server. Crash reports contain no screen content, keystrokes or account details.

The servers

The account service and relay run on Cloudflare’s network. Like any internet service, they handle your devices’ IP addresses to deliver data. We do not keep them. Cloudflare may process connection data for security, as described in its own privacy policy.

What we never collect

No analytics, no advertising and no tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell or share your data.

Purchases

OutPane Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and shares no personal details with us.

Children

OutPane is not aimed at children.
